The Canadian Aid helps with international problems. It is affective but it needs a lot of improvement. I have written a letter to a Minister of International Cooperation Ms. Bev Oda:
I am writing this letter to support my opinion on how Canadian Aid should be distributed and also give my feedback.
I like to start out saying the projects/programs Canadian Aid is doing very good. The idea of helping women be equal in the struggling Middle East is looking to work very well so far. For example, 41% of the voter being women in Afghanistan is a very good number. But the idea of making woman equal should expand even more than the Middle East, for example India and Eastern Asia. Also helping to promote and protect human rights is the possible way to Canadian Aid primary work seems to be on Human Rights. This should not be the main objective. The people’s health and education should be top priority. People are dieing all around the world because of diseases and being starved. As you know poverty trap is a big deal for many of the under-develop countries. Many countries have big debt problems most up to billions of dollars. This causes many problems on top of problems they already have. They can not afford to ensure environmental sustainability, or help kids become educated or even afford to eradicate hunger. I suggest you help reduce their so they can maybe start working on their problems. Another big area where the Canadian Aid should be working on is aids/HIV. Every 8 seconds someone dies from aids, that is almost 1,000,000 people a year. Other consequences are social outcast, spreading of the disease, and ultimately people getting hurt. The cause of aids is because of very little education, information or even support from governments like in Africa. You should counter all this, give education and aware the people in the areas where aids spreads most, and convince the governments to also be aware of the problems of aids. Some programs you should look into are the Red Cross. They help many people and set up booths in the third world countries to keep the aware. They also help bring food to these third world countries. The final thing I want to talk about is the tying of Canadian Aid. Canada should still keep being tied in international aid. When money is being taken from the Canadian Economy should be controlled by Canada, to keep their economy strong. It also helps Canada to take control on what to do for the foreign aid, so I do not think it would be a good of untying as I hear Canada is doing.
In conclusion I think you should be worried about the people health and education, rather than the human rights. Also help with the problem of aids, as I have written about is a big problem in the world. The Canadian aid should also keep being tied.

Overpopulated world or not?

In the past decade technology has reached beyond our imagination. Communication and the transfer of ideas have surpassed expectations, and I think technology will take us to uncharted worlds and we’ll live in planets that humans can adapt to. On the debate on whether the world will come overpopulated I believe we will find solutions. New technology will develop; other planets could additionally help with the possibility of natural resources.
Malthus is another point of argument. Malthus and Ne0-Malthuism believe that food will run out, diseases will come, and that technology won’t do as great when we need it most. This idea does seem like it might be true, but the idea is very narrow. Optimists I think are going to be right of what the fate of the world will be.
Our world is always changing. Solutions to problems we’ve overcome can be seen as positive or negative depending on your perspective. For example when we had to fight diseases we found cures, like antibiotics, but now we see superbugs. In agriculture problems have been fixed with chemicals, but the long term effects may affect us in ways we don’t realize. There might be a disease or plague, a nuclear bomb; you just never know what is going to happen, but my personal opinion is that the world will find a solution to each challenge.
